Hello all -
Attached is the NOR for M-scow Easterns on Sept 17 & 18. Yes - this will
be a 2 day event and we are excited to be hosting at LYC! We are
scheduling 8 races over the 2 day event which should provide for action
packed racing.
The $70 regatta fee does not include dinner Saturday night - please let
me know ASAP if you are planning to attend the regatta and also would
like to attend the dinner. Tickets will be sold separately.
Look forward to seeing you on the 17th!

Another Successful North Americans!
Congratulations to 2011 M-Scow North American Champ -- John Applegate!
17 boats competed in the 2011 Championship, held July 30-31 at Pigeon Lake Yacht Club in Ontario, Canada. Winds on both days were light and variable which made the sailing challenging and even sometimes frustrating. 4 boats from NJ and one boat from another lake in Ontario travelled to compete. The dinner Saturday night (roast beef, chicken, vegetables, salads and of course dessert) was excellent, as was the local band who played for everyone's enjoyment.
Local TV station CHEX sent a reporter who interviewed several sailors and captured video of some great scow sailing. Below is the link to the segment. Thanks Joe Bowland & Curt Morton for the interviews.
A special thanks goes out to Joe Bowland and Mike Burton-Davies for organizing a truely outstanding event, and to all the PLYC members who contributed and helped.
